Available Adults
Part of being an ethical preservation breeder means understanding that retired breeding cats can't all stay with us, regardless of how much they are loved, or there wouldn't be space or time to care for each of them. Sometimes they've shown they would be happier having more one on one time with their human family. Hence, from time to time, we will make a retired adult available.
Duckie's Optimal Selection DNA Results
Born April 2021 Seal Silver Patched Mink Tabby and white
CMS and PKD Negative, "A" Blood Type(carries B)
Duckie is both our grandbaby and our great grandbaby(on opposite sides and unrelated cats)! Our foundation cats Carly and Fuzz had Gypsy, who had Bones, who had Duckie! She is such a loving well balanced gal! Duckie finished her Grand Champion title before she even turned 1 year old. She is an absolute treasure and we are so grateful to have had her contributions to our home and program. <3
This is amongst the hardest placements I have ever had to make in our 10 year history. It has been my intention since very early on to keep Duckie as a full time resident and spoiled pet. However sometimes an animal will make it clear what THEY want, and that may not match with all the best laid plans.
Duckie is an easy keeper, a good eater and religious litter box user. She is fine with cat savvy dogs, and would prefer a mostly human home with perhaps one other cat(ideally a kitten so that she can help outline their relationship). She has made it clear that while she doesn't mind having the other cats around, she isn't very enthused about it either and being part of a group leads her to seek out more alone time. She loves people and is great option for someone who wants all the beauty(did we mention she is a grand champion and placed in the top 6 for all of CFA Devons in 2022?), curls, coat and warmth of a Devon but perhaps isn't looking for the absolute insanity a Devon kitten can bring.
Duckie has passed numerous echocardiograms with flying colors. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and will also include her CFA papers and contract.
Only the absolute best possible homes will be considered, and she will stay with me as long as needed until her purfect placement arrives.
Duckie's cost is $1350 CAD. If you are a previous adopter or currently on our wait list and wish to be considered, drop us an email. If you have not previously applied, please fill out our application form.
Billy's Optimal Selection DNA Results
Born November 2020- Seal Silver Lynx Point
CMS and PKD Negative, A blood type.
Billy spent 3 years as our main stud man and hails all the way from Jobara Devon Rex in Utah! He boasts numerous Breed Winners, National Winners and naturally Grand Champions in his pedigree. We are beyond grateful and blessed to have had him join our program. He has earned his retirement and is presently learning what neutered pet life is all about.
Billy has some litter box preferences, namely, its gotta be clean. Do you have a couple of cats and only intend to scoop once a week? That wont work for Mr. Billy. Ideally someone who cleans their box with one cat at least every 2-3 days. He has no bad peeing habits, but if its left for too long he will leave a poop present just outside the entrance to the box. With regular cleaning, no issues whatsoever.
Since being neutered he has proven to have a more sensitive tummy. While his typical Royal Canin diet usually works fine, it would be best if he transitioned to a Royal Canin sensitive stomach diet.
He gets along well with other cats, of any gender now that he's neutered. He is SUPER in your face affectionate, and a little chatty. A very special boy, that gets so excited to see you when you get home that he will purr and drool a little! He is also ok with cat savvy dogs!
This charming guy would be fine(after a few days to decompress) in a home with kids older than 10.
Billy has also passed numerous echocardiograms. He is up to date on core vaccines, neutered and microchipped and will also include CFA papers and contract.
Billy's cost is $450 Canadian, OR if he is placed in a cat free home with Duckie (they are good buddies), we will waive the cost entirely.
